Jim interviews Sgt. 1st. Class Troy Smith

This is a very good and detailed interview between Sgt. 1st Class Troy Smith, stationed in Iraq, and Jim of Thinking Right. It appears that the Soldiers over in Iraq are more optimistic about the future of that country than the politicians are back home. It is only natural.

Let's face it. Who would have the best information? A politician who hardly lifts a finger all day except to shake it at you to tell you how stupid you are, or someone who is out there risking it all so you and I may live in peace and freedom? Yes, my feelings precisely...

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, second from right, presiding over House panel

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., plans to reveal today Drug Enforcement Agency investigative reports that confirm a previous WND story presenting evidence the drug smuggler given immunity to testify against border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean was involved in a second smuggling incident.

The DEA documents and Department of Homeland Security investigative reports already presented by WND contradict the prosecutor, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, who repeatedly has insisted to the public that smuggler Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila was not a suspect under investigation in a second drug incident.

Sutton gave Aldrete-Davila immunity to testify as the prosecution's chief witness regarding the Feb. 17, 2005, shooting incident on the Texas border that led to prison sentences for Ramos and Compean of 11 and 12 years respectively.

BUSH TO OPEN DOORS TO MEXICAN CARGO TRUCKS
Originally posted at Rick Roberts Website, KFMB San Diego

GET READY TO SEE MORE TRUCKS ON THE ROAD!!

They just won’t be from this country…

THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION will now let Mexican trucks haul freight further and further into the United States.

AS IF WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH ILLEGAL ALIENS ON THE ROAD ALREADY…

The U.S. government wants to see truckers outsourced… President Bush would like to see Jose from south of the border driving that freightliner.

Now is a GREAT time to invest in that uninsured motorist feature through your car insurance company!

The Bush administration announced its plan last Thursday to have U.S. inspectors oversee Mexican trucking companies that carry cargo across the border. According to the Transportation Department, U.S. inspectors will inspect each truck and interview drivers to make sure they can read and speak English. They’ll examine trucks and check the licenses, insurance and driving records of the Mexican drivers. Inspectors will also verify that the trucking companies are insured by U.S.-licensed firms. Sure… Sounds good, right? Not exactly…

How could the U.S. could spare sending inspectors to Mexico when only a nominal percentage of the hundreds of thousands of U.S. truck companies are inspected every year? They lack the inspectors to conduct safety reviews of at-risk domestic carriers… Imagine how much worse it will be if we are reduced to not hiring Americans to haul our goods. How could we keep track of Mexican drivers when there are barely enough inspectors to keep track of American drivers?

The Bush administration is espousing more hot air just to evade the fact that they’re dying to sway the hearts of certain ethnic minorities. It’s pathetic.

One-fourth of all U.S. trucks are taken off the road after random inspections because they’re so unsafe. Just think of how the Mexican trucks will be. Mexican drivers are paid about 40% less than their U.S. counterparts, who make an average of about $40,000 a year.

So, um… Let me get into the President Bush state-of-mind: The trucking industry, I am assuming, is a career path that American citizens no longer desire.

Ten-four… Or is it diez cuatro? Hmmm…

Short on Pesos, get a Banko Americao credit card

SHORT ON PESOS? THE BANK OF AMERICANO CREDIT CARD!

Last week we had a media spokeswoman for Bank of America issue a press release and speak to our show representative. She told us that the bank has done only one public interview with one media outlet: The Wall Street Journal.Among all of misleading garbage she fed us, she told our representative that the quotes in the Journal earlier this month were “taken out of context.”

She also told us that the bank had absolutely no intent on marketing or even expanding the pilot program offering credit cards to illegal aliens… Or “undocumented migrant semi-citizens.”

Uh huh.

Kenneth Lewis, President and CEO of Bank of Americano is quoted as saying the following in today’s Wall Street Joural:

“After a week of listening to our customers, we have made a decision. We will continue our card marketing pilot program in the LA market.”
Yes, folks… today, Lewis did a very extensive piece in the editorial section of that so-called rumor-mongering Wall Street Journal.

How funny… We were told just a few days ago that the Wall Street Journal was “an unreliable source.”

Lewis says the following in his editorial:

“First, the program is not about illegal immigrants, and it never was. It is designed to help Bank of America customers build a credit history. Second, we believe we have an obligation to serve all those in our country who are legally eligible to receive services. To do less would be discriminatory and unfair.”
Porqué?
“Reports have stated that in some cases illegal immigrants are able to sign up for the Bank of America’s products and services. These reports are true. They also are true for many financial institutions and businesses in our country today.”
Lewis also mentioned that the matricula conular, the ID issued by Mexican consulate offices to Mexican citizens living outside of their country, is a valid form of idenification that is accepted at B of A.
“The matricula consular card has received its share of criticism, much of it because it allows for the possibility that illegal immigrants may use it to participate in our financial systems, but it also is a key tool in our efforts to ensure that our financial systems are not used for illegal purposes.”
So exactly which group of people is this “pilot program” pander to?

La gente mexicana ilegal!
“We know some will find this unacceptable.” Ya think? “Even so, we feel we have a great obligation to live by the laws of the land, to serve our customers, and to do our part to support the security of our nation’s financial systems.”
Nice to see that the CEO of the second largest bank in the nation is whoring itself out for a few extra pesos.

Taliban Recruiting Hundreds of Suicide Bombers for Major Attack on NATO Forces in the Spring: Al-Jazeera Reports

To view this Special Dispatch in HTML, click this link............,

The following are excerpts from Al-Jazeera TV reports on Taliban military plans. The reports were aired on February 21 and 22, 2007.

Click this link to view video clip

Reporter: "The fighters of the Afghan Taliban movement are in a real race against time. The spring offensive – for which the movement is preparing by means of training, surveillance, and reconnaissance, and with which the NATO forces threatened [the Taliban] – is imminent, according to the movement's leaders. This is a diligent movement, which operates at night more than by day, away from any surveillance or reconnaissance. The movement's leaders said that the attack would include all of Afghanistan, but that it would focus on the south, in order to take control of entire cities."

Mullah Dadallah (translated into Arabic): "There are 6,000 Taliban mujahideen ready to fight in the spring campaign, and the number will rise to 10,000. The greater the number of Jewish and Christian forces fighting us, the more this will encourage the people to join us."

Reporter: "The Taliban says it has obtained a new anti-aircraft weapon, but it did not go into details. As proof, it presented Al-Jazeera with footage showing what they say is a U.S. military helicopter burning after being downed, in Kandahar about two months ago."

[...]

Reporter: "In a noteworthy development, the Afghan Taliban movement presented what it called its 'new weapon,' which will confront NATO's lethal weapons. This is the weapon of suicide operations. Taliban military commander [Mullah] Dadallah used this gathering to recruit over 500 suicide bombers for the coming spring campaign, which he promised would be bloody. He stressed that the Taliban is capable of multiplying their numbers."

Mullah Dadallah (translated into Arabic): "Praise be to Allah, who gave us this great power of self-sacrifice, among Arabs and non-Arabs. Our preparations for the war in the field of self-sacrifice activities are not enough by themselves. These operations are not sufficient to defeat them. The weapon of devotion is still the most important. In addition, we must remember our martyrs and their blood, which they sacrificed for a greater cause."

Reporter: "One of the suicide bombers summed up for Al-Jazeera the reasons for carrying out this act. He denied that poverty or depression, or any other of the reasons given by commentators, had led to his decision."

Suicide bomber (translated into Arabic): "I understand what a self-sacrifice operation means. I am an educated student from a well-off family. I have no mental problems or anything like that. I could complete my studies and become a doctor."

Reporter: "The suicide operations that the movement is preparing for include the use of car bombs and motorcycle bombs, as well as the explosive belts worn by suicide bombers. All the movement's leaders and fighters whom we met emphasized that this year will be the decisive one in favor of the Taliban. One of them proudly told us that Afghanistan is the graveyard of the empires – from the Mongols and the British to the Russians – and that now, NATO's turn has come."

"Operation Imposing the Law" according to Iraqis

There has been much talk about this new operation, depending on which side of the discussion you find yourself. We all know what we think, so I thought it would be good if we just stepped back and out of the way for a moment to listen to what the Iraqis who live right there have to say.

Obviously I am going to bring you their personal beliefs from their blogs. Sometimes it was the only news I could get from this war. I feel confident in the sincerity of these people whom I am going to quote. Shall we?

First I would like to share with the opening of operations as seen through the eyes of Omar at Iraq the Model. This was written on Feb. 15, 2007 and is named, "Operation Baghdad Update":
Despite the traffic jams and though this is the largest deployment for troops in the capital, daily life and civilian activity-contrary to what was expected-still continues at a rather normal level, unlike previous crackdowns where life came to near paralysis. Read more.
He also goes into detail about Maliki and his observations as to this man's actions in the recent days.

His brother, Mohammed, has written an article titled, "Attacks in Baghdad down by 80%" on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007:
Since the multiple bombings in Shroja market district on the 12th, Baghdad hasn’t seen any major attacks and there’s a tangible decrease in all kinds of attacks.

Not only official statements say so (Defense ministry officials said today that attacks are down by 80% in Baghdad). It’s a reality I live in nowadays, at least in my neighborhood and its surroundings. It is also what I hear from friends and relatives in other parts of the city.We are hearing fewer explosions and less gunfire now than two weeks ago and that, in Baghdad, qualifies as quiet. Read more.
This is an awesome post. I never would have guessed any of this just by reading our own newspapers. Do we have journalists over there?

The latest post from the ITM brothers (Mohammed) is titled, "Bombs strike again but hope remains" and was written Monday, Feb. 19, 2007:
Although soldiers and policemen are filling the streets, the terrorists are too coward to face the troops and choose to massacre unarmed civilians instead. What are they trying to prove with these cowardly acts? They can’t defeat the troops, so they attack civilians to discredit the security plan. But I don’t think such attacks can change the course of events on the long term; the Baghdad plan is a strategic effort that will go on for months, and time doesn’t seem to be on the terrorists’ side right now.
...
Although attacks happen here and there, the general feeling is still closer to hope and appreciation of the plan than pessimism. More families are returning to the homes they were once forced to leave, and we’re talking about some of the most dangerous districts such as Ghazaliya and Haifa Street.

Al-Sabah reports that yesterday alone 327 families returned home and that the scene of vans loaded with furniture of refugees leaving Baghdad is no more. There were times when the average was around 20 a day. The 327 figure brought the total to more than 500 families across Baghdad. Read more.
They seem to be able to find the confidence within themselves that our politicians are sorely lacking. Alas, let us keep the pols out of this.

Here is another person who has written about the recent events. IraqiPundit has this to say in this post written Mon, 2/19/2007. The title is, "A Baghdad Homecoming":
Here’s a quick snapshot of the Baghdad security crackdown, from my own family’s point of view. My story involves only a single household, but – so far – it has a happy ending. I don’t pretend that this one household’s story is a counterweight to all the misery and murder that the crackdown is intended to address, but it’s my profound hope that this story is – or soon will be --representative of many other such individual tales that will be told by many other Iraqi families. Read more.
IraqPundit has a very keen sense of what is happening in and around Iraq. Very nice and moving article.

All of these posts are insightful and informative. They have much more news than you will find in our dinosaur media. You may also wish to read Pajamas Media. This is a collection of several citizen journalists who dedicate their time going after the news that is really out there but we never see. Have a great day.

Rep. Duncan Hunter for President in 2008

I have been watching Rep. Hunter's career for a long time now, and he has been campaigning for a while. He has not been hiding. He will give almost anyone an interview. So why haven't you about or from him? The Big Business Media wants to choose your candidate for you!

Are you really happy with the people and their politics that they have parading about like a little dog and pony show? I did not think so. Neither do I.

I find it despicable for anyone to define our candidates, and for that matter-the Democrats candidates, instead of allowing us the opportunity to get see them, hear them, and make up our own minds. Apparently, they do not believe we are able to handle this task. Either that, or they know we are and don't want us to do this.

Why could that be? Because we would choose the candidate which is most qualified and they would have no say in it. Thanks a heap, McCain.

Why am I supporting Rep. Duncan Hunter? You can go to his site and read up on his values and policies, but let me express my reasons.

Many people I've supported have a 'free' market ideology. I have a 'fair' trade belief. So does Rep. Hunter. It is refreshing to know that there is still a politian who believes America is the most important when it comes to trade. He does not trust China, and he knows they are cheating on trade. This will put to an end. He will also look at GATT and NAFTA. We are losing jobs to countries that are not friendly, nor are we doing better because of this.

He is pro-life, pro-border control, pro-defense of America, and pro-second amendment. He served in Viet Nam. His father served in WWII. His son has served 2 terms in Iraq...so far. He worked on the Armed Forces Committee while in Congress.

He agrees with many of us that we should not be giving immunity to illegally crossing border drug dealers just to imprison two of our border control officers whom were only doing their jobs.

Yes, I am supporting Duncan wholeheartedly and proudly. Won't you please listen to what he has said, and try to listen to him on the radio.

He appeared last night on Pundit Review Radio with Kevin and Gregg. You may listen to the interview. Actually, I recommend it! The program was especially good last night. (It's always good. That's why I said, "Especially...")

Duncan is also open to having bloggers and all of us work with him. Do your research well, then come and join the team. :)

Sen. Bill Clinton?

The thought of Bill Clinton taking over Hillary's seat in the Senate has escaped many minds, but Bill Sammon of the Washington Examiner has written about just this today.
Washington, D.C. - If Hillary Rodham Clinton wins the presidency, some top Democrats would like to see her husband, former President Bill Clinton, appointed to serve out Hillary's unexpired Senate term.

“As a senator, he’d be a knockout,” said Harold Ickes, who was once a top White House aide to Bill Clinton and now gives behind-the-scenes advice to Hillary. “He knows issues, he loves public policy and he’s a good politician.”
This is an interesting idea. Rather gruesome, but interesting. How many of you are willing to sit out this next election now?

Sudden Jihad Syndrome

In regards to the latest homicidial maniac attack on unsuspecting Americans, Sulejman Talovic's aunt, discounted theories he may have had lingering psychological effects from the war in Bosnia, telling the Salt Lake Tribune: "We all suffered things in war, but, no, we didn't have anything."

Recent examples of what Middle East scholar Daniel Pipes has termed "Sudden Jihad Syndrome" include Naveed Afzal Haq of Pasco, Wash., who broke through security at the Jewish Federation Center in Seattle last July and announced to staff members: "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry at Israel." The 30-year-old immediately began shooting randomly, killing a woman and wounding five others. An FBI spokesman called it a case of a "lone individual acting out his antagonism. ... There's nothing to indicate that it’s terrorism-related."

Last March, 22-year-old Iranian student Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar went on a driving rampage on the campus of the University of North Carolina, injuring nine people. As Islam scholar Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch, notes, the Iranian said in a court appearance he was "thankful for the opportunity to spread the will of Allah." He also wrote letters to newspapers presenting Quranic justification for his attacks, but officials ruled out terrorism.

In October 2005, 21-year-old student Joel Hinrichs blew himself up outside the University of Oklahoma's football stadium where 84,000 were watching a game. Police insisted it was merely a suicide, but investigators found "Islamic Jihad" material in his apartment, and he reportedly attended a nearby mosque – the same one attended by Zacharias Moussaoui, the only person charged in connection with the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In January 2004, after apparently undergoing a religious awakening, a Saudi Arabian student in Houston killed his Jewish friend by slashing his throat. Mohammed Ali Alayed, 23, pleaded guilty to the Aug. 6 attack on Ariel Sellouk, als0 23, who almost was decapitated with a knife. Houston police said no clear motive had been established, but Alayed went to a local mosque after the slaying.

In a high-profile case, Beltway sniper John Allen Muhammad, a convert to Islam, went on a deadly shooting spree in the Washington, D.C., area in October 2002.

Source: World Net Daily: Terrorism not ruled out in Salt Lake case Investigators pursue Islam angle despite publicly declaring 'no evidence'

Are these fellows weak in the brain mentally ill maniacs or is there another pattern emerging regarding that Muslim on Christian violence in America. I sure would not want to say that it is organized or orchrastrated by the religion of peace. But, one has to wonder? I have know exceptionally nice Muslims who would not think of harming anyone. But, there appears to be a mentally ill undercurrent similar to or own Aryan Nation, Christian Identity Movement radicals. I should hope that we get to the bottom of this Sudden Jihad Syndrome and eliminate it from the American culture.

Blogger registers his complaint: BoA putting a bad precedence.

Blogging a phone call This is how you do it folks
R/ Bosun

Courtesy of Daniel's political musings

Not only did the blogger, DANIEL, send the fax he live-blogged his phone conversation. How classic:

Blogging my phone call

1-800-622-8731

On hold with BofA as I type this. Speaking with Peter. Peter is transferring me to his supervisor after my little speech...

Note: still on hold. The phone tree took a few minutes to get through. Finally I just started speaking gibberish and it transferred me to a live person. I would also point out that the first option under the "other options" category is to send money to Mexico. Way to support the economy.

Speaking with David. Expressed dismay at the foolish business decision to allow people with no SSN to have a line of credit. Expressing dismay over the moral and patriotic ramifications of doing business with criminals.

He is actually documented all the points that I am making!!

*You can't garnish wages that don't have an SSN
*How do you determine line of credit when they have no legal wages
*Illegal aliens identify themselves illegally
*Lost money must be passed on to legitimate customers through less service/higher rates etc

*Won't do business with a business that works openly with criminals
*No different than a store selling meth ingredients to drug dealers
*Encouraging a "quality of life" for criminals
*Creating an atmosphere where criminals are welcome

That was actually a worthwhile 10 minutes. (trusting that David wasn't playing solitaire and rolling his eyes on the other line) He actually tried to reassure me about "asset recovery" through use of ITINs and debate a few points with me.

Unfortunately the ITIN is only for filing a tax return (and only for illegal aliens) and not something you put on a W-4. You still have nothing to garnish wages if you have an ITIN. You could take a tax return but why file if you have no obligation to because you make money illegally?

David apologized several times and will pass on a report to his supervisor regarding my concerns. Now you call!

Register your disappointment with Bank of (Central) America for offering credit cards to illegal aliens!

Ann Coulter takes on B. Hussein Obama

Our take-no-prisoners commentator, Ann Coulter, takes aim at the candidate she refers to as "B. Hussein Obama," saying the senator's speeches are "a run-on string of embarrassing, sophomoric Hallmark bromides."

In analyzing his presidential announcement, Coulter writes: "Most weirdly, he said: 'I recognize there is a certain presumptuousness in this – a certain audacity – to this announcement.'

"What is so audacious about announcing that you're running for president? Any idiot can run for president. Dennis Kucinich is running for president. Until he was imprisoned, Lyndon LaRouche used to run for president constantly. John Kerry ran for president. Today, all you have to do is suggest a date by which U.S. forces in Iraq should surrender, and you're officially a Democratic candidate for president."

Writes Coulter: "This guy's like the ANWR of trite political aphorisms. There's no telling exactly how many he's sitting on, but it could be in the billions." For the rest of the story, please visit WorldNetDaily.com: Jonathan Livingston Obama

NRSC Pledgers--->Victory Caucus

There was a pledge going around which over 30,000 people signed. The pledge involved money that usually goes go to the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the voting habits of some of the weakest Republicans in the Senate have made this reprehensible.

Many times the people who elect Republicans will overlook their flawed voting records, but not on this non-binding resolution vote. This vote was to let the Military know that the people who had sent them had no confidence in them. They wanted to allow our enemies a victory.

This was not their intent, but this would have been the result. So what do the pledgers do now? Where do they go?

After their great result in having the whole Senate hear them, there is a board of directors that has put together The Victory Caucus. Everyone who chooses victory over defeat in this war against World Wide Fascism is welcome. Are you a Democrat? Republican? Independent? Liberal? Conservative? You are more than welcome to join and have your voice heard.

This site was started Monday, February 12, 2007. Already they have over 1000 members. Consider this as the media tries to choose your candidate for you before you even get to make up your mind. Do not allow this to happen.

Turn off the TV. They know less than activists do about these candidates, and most of them are not mainstream in the press. You are the owner of your vote. Do your duty! Learn each candidate's background and voting record. Hopefully, they will even have a vision. If not, skip it. We are at a time in our country's history when vision is key. Thank you, and have a nice day.

RAMOS AND COMPEAN UPDATE

February 12th, 2007

laprotest2.jpg
THE CONDITION OF IGNACIO “NACHO” RAMOS: Last Friday, Congressman Tancredo of Colorado got the opportunity to spend about an hour with wrongfully-convicted Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos at the Yazoo Federal Prison. He had been severely beaten, with deep bruises along his arm, gashes and bruises on his chest and back, and bruises on his knees. It has been reported that Ramos did not get medical attention until today. Tancredo mentioned that he was “astonished” at the condition of Ignacio. We will have Tom Tancredo on our show this week to give us an update… He has been the only visitor allowed since the beating.

THE SATURDAY RAMOS/COMPEAN LOS ANGELES RALLY: (This is going to make you sick.) The illegal immigration dolts such as ANSWER and the Party for Socialism and Liberation (liberation from WHAT??) came to this pro-Border Agent rally by the droves. The ANSWER Coalition showed up to call all sane individuals Nazis and screamed choice sayings such as, “You are white; you are a racist!” ANSWER’s tools of trade included the amplified bullhorns and signs equating Minutemen to the Ku Klux Klan. A counterprotester felt no need for cumbersome signs and simply feigned masturbation at the flag-waving crowd; another masked guy in camouflage waved a hole-pocked American flag upside-down, with “God less Amerikkka/This flag kills” scrawled across what remained of the stripes. “BURN THAT STUPID FLAG!” Urged one of the radical, pro-crime nuts. Many clad in “Brown Power” shirts, these morons called the Minutemen, Border Patrol agents, and families of Ramos and Compean racist pigs, Nazis, and other racial slurs.

snow.jpg
THE PARDON OR EXONERATION: el Presidente Bush is STILL hiding behind the Snow-Man…

SMUGGLER AND DRUG CARTEL COULD’VE BEEN BUSTED: The drug smuggler left behind his cell phone, but there appears to be no evidence investigators made any attempt to identify him. Aldrete-Davila (the smuggler) stated that he had nothing in his hands as he ran toward the international border. He advised there had been a cell phone in the van, but stated it was left behind. If Sutton had just focused on finding the smuggler through the family connections and the cell phone, he could have landed a major drug bust that would have blown open a drug cartel in Mexico. Instead, Sutton chose to give Aldrete-Davila a free pass on all his drug activities.

SUTTON STILL IN DENIAL: Johnny Sutton claimed he didn’t have any way to link Aldrete-Davila to the 743 pounds of marijuana found in the van, except by the smuggler’s own testimony. “Now, if I could prove up the case another way, without using the words of Aldrete-Davila himself, we could prosecute the case. If I had a provable case that Aldrete-Davila had committed other crimes, I could prosecute him.” Sutton has stated that they had no evidence against the drug smuggler. A DHS memorandum documents that agent Rene Sanchez “queried the Border Patrol Tracking System and found that the Fabens Border Patrol Station seized a load of marijuana on February 17, 2005.”

I've been interviewed by the St. Pete's Times!

Last week I received a phone call from a very nice man. He is from The St. Petersburg Times in Tampa, Florida. He wanted an interview, so we talked for a while. Not a long while, but a while just the same.

Today he has written his article, and he has quoted me in it. He did quote me accurately, but it was only one line. I understand he only has so much space to write his story, and his story was not about me. He was doing a story about CENTCOM.
Blogs are CentCom's new target.
By WILLIAM R. LEVESQUE, Times Staff Writer

Since 2005, CentCom officials have jumped into the blogging fray, facing the realities of a new electronic age in hopes of combating misinformation on the Web, or just getting its own news out.

A three-person team monitors blogs - Internet journals with commentary from ordinary citizens and, often, links to news articles - that concentrate on CentCom's area of responsibility, which includes Iraq and Afghanistan. [Read more.]
Either way, I am very excited! This is my first mention in a large newspaper. Hopefully I can write some articles that are worthy of some new readers. Anyone have any ideas of issues I have not yet covered? If so, leave me a comment or an e-mail. Thank you, and have a great day.

HOMELAND SECURITY ADMITS LIES- BORDER PATROL AGENT’S LIVES IN JEOPARDY
Posted at Rick Roberts' KFMB, San Diego, February 7th, 2007

-THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY HAS PROVEN THEMSELVES LIARS IN THE RAMOS AND COMPEAN CASE-

The Department of Homeland Security has ADMITTED that the agency misled Congress and the media when it contended it possessed investigative reports proving Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean confessed guilt and declared they “wanted to shoot some Mexicans” prior to the incident that led to their imprisonment.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the falsehoods being conveyed by US Attorney Johnny Sutton and his ilk will NOT be investigated, and barely reported on… IF AT ALL!

What about the “they did commit a crime by not filing a repot, thus they tried to hide it” heresay? As per Sarah Carter of The Daily Bulletin…

Written reports can only be made by investigators: U.S. Border Patrol firearms policy specifically states that agents are prohibited from filing a report if a shooting incident takes place and that only an oral report to supervisors is required. The policy states:

“Ensure that supervisory personnel or INS investigating officers are aware that employees involved in a shooting incident shall not be required or allowed to submit a written statement of the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

A Border Patrol Union representative said that the report filed by Compean and Ramos on the day of the incident was 100% ACCURATE.

The representative said…

“Our own policy prohibits them from filing any report on the shooting incident. The U.S. Attorney’s assertion that they covered up the incident by not filing a report is ridiculous.”

Now that one of the two border patrol agents has been beaten to a bloody pulp, the media and others are coming out and saying that it’s really not that big of a deal…

Tune in tomorrow to get the backstory. We will have a special guest at 7am.

Two of our guests today were Congressman Tom Tancredo of Colorado and Congressman Walter Jones of North Carolina. They are just a couple of the many “Pro-Ramos and Compean/Border Patrol” congressmen being snubbed by the White House.

Help them out… Help Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean out by calling these numbers, demanding their immediate pardon:

Al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia Plans Ops

Courtesy of CBN: Al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia Plans Operations in Persian Gulf
February 8, 2007

The threat from al-Qaeda's Saudi branch comes on the same day that Iran threatened to attack U.S. interests around the world if American forces struck Iran. First, here's more on the al-Qaeda threat, from the Khaleej Times:

The Saudi branch of Al Qaeda announced on Thursday that it is planning major operations aimed at driving Western interests out of the Arabian Gulf,
according to an online statement.

"We have for some time been in the process of preparing major operations that will weaken the crusaders' bases in the Arabian Gulf," said the Al Qaeda Organisation in the Gulf.

"We will cleanse the Arabian Gulf of the presence of crusaders and of their bases, which are scattered around the cradle of Islam. We promise our leader, Osama bin Laden, to continue on the same road. Your soldiers are preparing something in which you will rejoice."

The statement was carried in the movement's online magazine, Sawt al-Jihad.

By the way, the Arabian Gulf is another name for the Persian Gulf -- where thousands of U.S. troops are currently stationed. Could we see more U.S.S. Cole-style attacks from al-Qaeda?

Was there a connection between DHS agent and smuggler??

World Net Daily claims it official documents in its possession that indicate a Department of Homeland Security agent played a major role in managing the drug smuggler. World Net Daily also claims that the agent conducted the field investigation in the incident that landed Border Patrol officers Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean in federal prison for more than a decade.

World Net Daily claims that in a heavily redacted 77-page DHS report submitted to Congress Wednesday there is no explicit discussion of the role that the DHS Special Agent played in the case.

If this is true, there should be an investigation into DHS and the conduct of the agent and his supervisors.

For additional details regarding this very confusing case, please read the following at World Net Daily: Border-agent investigator had tie to smuggler?????

Ann Coulter's latest: Yellowcake and yellow journalism

In Ann Coulter's take-no-prisoners analysis of the mainstream media, Ann looks at the antics of MSNBC in reporting the trial of Scooter Libby, saying the network is "covering the trial like it's the Normandy Invasion, starring Elvis Presley, as told by Joseph Goebbels."

"MSNBC's 'reportage' consists of endless repetition of arbitrary assertions, half-truths and thoroughly debunked canards. No one else cares about the trial – except presumably Scooter Libby – so the passionate left is allowed to invent a liberal fable without correction."

Here's a little news:

There is definitely too much going on right now for me to keep up. Global warming (instead of global freezing-30 years ago), Arkin, Giuliani, getting rid of foul-mouthed bloggers hired by Edwards, DHS lied to Congress last year about the two Border Control Agents who were convicted (for allegedly shooting at a drug runner on his way back to Mexico), Agent Ramos was beaten very severely by five illegal aliens when put into the main population (same prior link), Nazanin is Free! article, a tragic update of an American, who just happens to be Muslim, loses his wife and children by murder while serving in Iraq, Duncan Hunter's entry into the field of candidates for presidents, Sleepwalking with the Enemy, Sulzberger's Revenge, Radical Islam: Terror in Its Own Words, videos to post, e-mails to answer, feeds to read, other sites for which to write articles and on and on. I'll be back sometime soon. Hopefully...lol.

"Oxygen Thief" Hall of Fame

This you have to take part in if you want to have get some stuff off your chest. I think this is a great idea. I have nominated Jimmy Carter. Apparently, so have many others! lol. Here is a little information:
After several weeks of negotiations, we have finally decided to begin the process of creating our OXYGEN THIEF HALL OF FAME. The Hall will be updated yearly by our panel with input from our readers.

The most critical issue right now is the Charter Members List. To that end, I humbly ask the readers here to submit their personal list and also ask that you send this request to friends, other bloggers, post on your own blogs, etc. The key is to create an unimpeachable inaugural class of Oxygen Thieves.
Oxygen Thief Hall of Fame is in charge of this, and you can e-mail Crotchety Old Bastard with your nominee. Here are topics from which to choose:

POLITICS
ACTIVISTS
SCIENCE/EDUCATION
MEDIA
AT LARGE
ORGANIZATIONS

Don't forget about the media, namely Arkin. I know there's many more, but he's in my evil eye line of sight at the moment. Learn more about the Oxygen Thief Hall of Fame. All nominations must be received by February 27. Everyone have a nice day!

Arkin

One minute I feel as though I am going to scream and the next moment I feel he is not worth my wrath. But is this true? Actually, he is only openly saying what we know the others are really thinking. Who are the others? Those who are so stupid, they don't even know we are in a freakin' war for our survival.

I really don't have the wisdom or the words to say anymore without crossing my own lines, so I will let you listen to AllahPundit's HotAir entitled: Video: Blackfive rips William Arkin on “The Big Story”; Update: John Gibson interviews Arkin. Thank you, and have a nice day.

Update: In the far off chance you do not know who this Arkin character is, this is what he wrote: The Troops Also Need to Support the American People. Read it and decide.
