I want to hear those phones a'ringing! Go get 'em, guys. We'll bring them to their knees. When they come with hands out this time, you know exactly what to do. Hand them the name of this bill, Comprehensive Immigration Reform, in the size of a check!
Hat tip: Bryan from HotAir.
I just got through with a conference with Miri Eisin, Foreign Press Spokeswoman for Israeli PM Ehud Olmert' office, and I have more question than answers, I'm sorry to say. I could not hear the questions being asked of her after her initial press conference, so it may just be a misunderstanding.
There was a meeting yesterday with President Mubarak, PM Abbas, King (or President) Abdullah from Jordan and PM Olmert in the efforts of taking an opportunity out of this madness (the civil war in the Gaza Strip) and turning it into a chance to move forward with the 2 state solution. She kept repeating that PM Olmert, she and the others were not going to allow the terrorists to define them, but that the moderates were going to take control and define themselves and their destiny.
They were going to move forward-cautiously of course-with diplomacy. It is going to be a process with a vision of peace at the end of the rainbow. What happened in Gaza was horrific, but this opens the door to opportunity and they are going to walk through it.
There are three main articles that came up. They are:
1. Abbas fired Hamas' elected officials from the government, and now Abbas is working with an emergency government. She also talked about the atmosphere produced so the talks could move forward. She stated that it would be a good idea to widen the scope of the dialogue. They are going to meet again next month, since the new emergency government is only around 10 days old.
2. There will be 250 Arab prisoners, some will be Fatah, released from Israels prisons. The criteria for their release will be that they must not have blood on their hands and they must admit that Israel is NOT the cause of the suffering for the Arabs in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. They had brought it on by themselves by their own actions, their own choices, their own doing (or lack thereof).
3. Abbas has said to the Arabic world, in Arabic (very important because they sometimes say one thing in English and another in Arabic) that he renounced the violence of Hamas, he believed in a 2 state solution living side by side with Israel in peace, and he recognizes Israel. (I'm not sure of the last one. I can hardly read my notes!)
Then the questions started. I could not hear the questions, but I could hear the answers. Maybe that is where the confusion comes. The first answer was indeed unique. For the first time, there were no, "Yes, BUT's" in their conversation.
Then she said they would give access to the West Bank! This way they could have freedom of movement. (Do you know who else could have freedom of movement, dear?) They also recognize the emergency government as the ruling government. (How long have we been called occupiers, although the government is in Iraq is elected?) However, access and free movement are very important to human beings. (I just pray it is not a mistake.)
There shall never be a compromise with terrorists such as Hamas and others. As to the money that has been held back due to the Hamas government, that shall be released just as soon as they can both agree on a way that is best for the people's humanitarian needs. There are dozens of truckloads per day being delivered everyday, but the Left press will not write about this. (It bothers me that facts are not disclosed, no matter what the situation.) Also, they both want to make sure the money goes to the moderates and not to the terrorists.
Later in the questioning period, they declared there would not be any benchmarks, ultimatums, or the such. This is what people looking in from the outside do not understand. You cannot do such a thing, especially with a government that is only 10 days old!
At the meeting yesterday, Mubarrak said that what Hamas did was create 'a coup'. Abbas agreed, basically, because he said the same thing at a later date. Abbas also declared it was totally unacceptable. However, it is too soon to expect any elections in the West Bank.
There were questions about trust (many questions). The answer was rather usual. Trust must be built, even if it is with your enemies of old. What alternative is there? (Fight back?)
Iran was mentioned, Syria was mentioned, Russia was mentioned, and I have no answers for you. My fault. I was writing as fast as I could! I did happen to catch one comment. Israel has an economy that surpasses that of the EU! I wish I knew those numbers. Now that's something new I could really sink my teeth into.
Let us pray for Israel and her neighbors countrymen and women. (Notice I did not say governments?) Pray for peace, understanding, forgiveness and readiness.Let us also pray that Israel realizes that the more the give, the more the Arabs will consider this weakness. I know most of the Israelis have hearts of peace, and they want the war to stop. Sometimes you have to have take other paths, sometimes you don't. Let us pray this is one of those times you don't, but if it is? Let us pray they have the chutzpah! (Yes, I am an Israel supporter. You can't even sue me! Hahaha.)

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are the Supreme Doctor. You can hear our prayers, and You can Heal anyone of anything. Please hear my petition for John Darby. God, I know I've been away far too long, but please do not punish John for my sins. Please Heal him, Lord. Hear our prayers. I love you, Lord. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

I can hear the outcries! Check yourself. Was it because you tired of trying? Did you think it would be better for your child? YOU WERE WRONG! But we all make mistakes. I should know! Happy Sperm Donor's Day to you.
If you have not been a Father to your children, you do not receive the mantle of Father. Not in my book.
To the men who stood up to the plate, you are the true heroes to your children. Now you have to check deep in your heart to find out whether or not you have been influenced by societal restraints or led your children in the ways of the Lord? Teaching your children that there is right and wrong and what the differences are. (You can do this whether you have a religion or not.)
I pray for all men today, that they are appreciated all year long and not just on this day. I pray all men would step up to the plate and be the men they are supposed to be. I pray, also, that the men of today would remember the Lord.
For those of you who do not like my prayers, DO NOT READ MY SITE! It's that simple. I'm a Christian woman, and we are lacking Christian men. Oh, there are many men out there, but they have lost their way. Womens' Lib, political correctness, women lieing, courts believing all women and no men, etc. These men have been attacked and beaten down. They need someone to stand up with them not for them.
Women, love your husband. Husbands, love your wife. Period. God bless you all.
We all get together, Americans who happen to be of Mexican, Asian, African, European, etc. descent, and march on the walls and halls of Washington. Let them know we WILL be heard, and they WILL listen. They do work for US, the American citizens. Not invaders. Not al Qaida. Not Hizbullah. Not Hamas. Not anyone except US citizens. After all, we are the only ones that are supposed be allowed to vote, as if that happens.
I've had it with all the name calling by Senators, Congressmen and the president, that does not have to live the way we, as American citizens, do. As a teen, I worked as a waitress. I tried to get a job out here in California, but I could not get hired. Why not? I don't (and will not) speak Spanish. It is not because I find the language offensive, I do not. I love the language. I even speak enough of it to get by. The problem is, and it's a big one for most Americans, that I don't want anyone telling me that I HAVE to do so.
If you do not desire me telling you about Jesus Christ, then do not force me to speak your language in my own country. Period. Anyone. And you say it is the Christians trying push our agenda down your throats? HA! When is the last bill you heard of that said, "You must be a Christian"??? You have not, because it was put into the constitution that you can believe in whatever you choose. So get out of my face.
I will stand up for what I believe, and you had better believe that! I have that right just as much as you do. Being a Christian does NOT exclude me from politics. No. Just the opposite. It calls me to be responsible enough to get informed, be involved, and don't be lazy.
You will take this land that was given to us by God Almighty, where we made a solemn oath to Him in the Mayflower Compact, over my dead body.
Getting back to the point at hand. We need to make these 536 people realize that we mean business. That we are serious. In the mean time, do not stop calling that toll free number (866) 340-9281. Let them hear you. Be polite. Be firm, and do not allow them to lie to you. Refute them with facts.
1,000,000 American March is a pipe dream, and I know it. But wouldn't it be sweet?

Washington, June 12 (IANS via Yahoo!) Citing the 'clandestine nuclear trafficking network' of A.Q. Khan, known as the father of Pakistan's atom bomb, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has warned other countries that the 'threat of nuclear terrorism is all too real'.
'The economics of supply and demand dictate that someone, somewhere, will provide nuclear material to the highest bidder, and that material will end up in the hands of terrorists,' FBI Director Robert Mueller said an international conference Monday, noting that 'several rogue nations - and even individuals - seek to develop nuclear capabilities'.
'A.Q. Khan, for example, was not only the father of Pakistan's nuclear bomb, he peddled that technology to North Korea, Libya and Iran. Khan was one of many to prove that it is indeed a seller's market in the so-called atomic bazaar,' he said while addressing a 30-nation 'Global Initiative Nuclear Terrorism Conference' in Miami, Florida.
'The economics of supply and demand dictate that someone, somewhere, will provide nuclear material to the highest bidder, and that material will end up in the hands of terrorists,' Mueller said.
Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales also cited Khan's example to stress that 'the threat of nuclear terrorism is all too real'.
'We know, for example, that Al Qaeda has been trying to acquire or make nuclear weapons for over 10 years. Indeed, Osama bin Laden has indicated that he considers the acquisition of weapons of mass destruction to be an obligation for his followers,' he said.
'And the discovery of A.Q. Khan's clandestine nuclear trafficking network demonstrates that the international black market for nuclear weaponry includes both buyers and sellers,' Gonzales said.
Mueller added that Al Qaeda has demonstrated a clear intent to acquire weapons of mass destruction.
In 1993, Osama bin Laden attempted to buy uranium from a source in the Sudan. He has stated that it is Al Qaeda's duty to acquire weapons of mass destruction. And he has made repeated recruiting pitches for experts in chemistry, physics, and explosives to join his terrorist movement.
'Bin Laden is no small thinker. Prior to 2001, (Pakistani national) Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - the mastermind of the Sep 11 attacks - suggested flying a small plane filled with explosives into CIA Headquarters,' Mueller said.
As noted by the 9/11 Commission, bin Laden reportedly asked him, 'Why do you use an axe when you can use a bulldozer?'
'If 9/11 was the 'bulldozer' of which bin Laden spoke, we can only imagine the impact of a full-scale nuclear attack,' the FBI chief said.
'Unfortunately, Al Qaeda central is not our only concern. We face threats from other terrorist cells around the world, and from home grown terrorists who are not affiliated with Al Qaeda, but who are inspired by its message of hatred and violence,' he said.
Attended, among others, by the US, Russia, Canada, China, Britain, Egypt, Morocco, Germany, France, Israel and Japan, the conference aims to build the capabilities of partner nations to investigate, prevent and respond to sudden strikes by terrorists using nuclear devices or other radioactive materials.

82nd Airborne goes “all the Way” during Operation Achilles
By Army Sgt. Tony J. Spain, 22nd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment
HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan — Sounds from roaring engines and spinning rotors from the British CH-47 Chinook pierce through the night as the aircraft carries paratroopers of the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, on an air assault mission into the lower Sangin Valley near the Gereshk District.

Sen. Sessions Releases List of 20 Loopholes in the Senate Immigration Bill
WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) released a list of 20 loopholes in the comprehensive immigration bill today which reveals that the bill is fatally flawed and will not establish a functioning immigration system in the future.
The list of loopholes includes flaws effecting border security, chain-migration and assimilation policies. The list exposes the lack of serious attention given to ensuring that the legislation fixes America’s failed immigration system.
“I am deeply concerned about the numerous loopholes we have found in this legislation. They are more than technical errors, but rather symptoms of a fundamentally flawed piece of legislation that stands no chance of actually fixing our broken immigration system,” Sessions said. “Many of the loopholes are indicative of a desire not to have the system work.”
For example, one loophole in the “enforcement trigger” fails to require the U.S. VISIT system – the biometric border check-in/check-out system established by Congress in 1996, but never implemented – to be fully functioning before new worker or amnesty programs begin. Without the system in place, the U.S. has no method of ensuring that workers and their families do not overstay their visas.
Another flaw in the legislation prevents the benefits of merit-based immigration from taking full effect until 2016. Until then, chain migration into the U.S. will actually triple, compared to a disproportionately low increase in skill-based immigration. As a result, the merit-based system in the bill is only a shell of what it should have been.
A third loophole in the bill allows immigrants to avoid demonstrating a proficiency in English for more than a decade. Illegal aliens are not required to learn English to receive full “probationary benefits” of citizenship. Passing a basic English test is only required for the third Z-visa renewal, twelve years after amnesty is granted.
Sessions will highlight many of the loopholes contained in the list this week during Senate debate on the immigration bill.

CONGRESSMAN WILLIAM JEFFERSON INDICTED ON BRIBERY, RACKETEERING, MONEY LAUNDERING, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, AND RELATED CHARGES
WASHINGTON - United States Congressman William J. Jefferson was indicted today by a federal grand jury on charges including bribery and racketeering for allegedly using his office to corruptly solicit bribes and for paying bribes to a foreign official, Assistant Attorney General Alice S. Fisher of the Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg for the Eastern District of Virginia announced today.
The 16-count indictment, returned by a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Va., charges Jefferson with solicitation of bribes, honest services wire fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, racketeering, and conspiracy. The indictment alleges that from in or about August 2000 through in or about August 2005, Jefferson, while serving as an elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives, used his position and his office to corruptly seek, solicit and direct that things of value be paid to Jefferson and his family members in exchange for his performance of official acts to advance the interests of people and businesses who offered him the bribes.
The things of value allegedly sought and/or received by Jefferson on behalf of his business interests and relatives included hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of bribes in the form of payments from monthly fees or retainers, consulting fees, percentage shares of revenues and profits, flat fees for items sold, and stock ownership in the companies seeking his official assistance.
The official acts allegedly undertaken by Jefferson included leading official business delegations to Africa, corresponding with U.S. and foreign government officials, and utilizing congressional staff members to promote businesses and businesspersons. Business ventures that Congressman Jefferson sought to promote included: telecommunications deals in Nigeria, Ghana, and elsewhere; oil concessions in Equatorial Guinea; satellite transmission contracts in Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, and the Republic of Congo; and development of different plants and facilities in Nigeria.
"The Department of Justice is committed to enforcing the public corruption laws designed to ensure the integrity of our government," said Assistant Attorney General Fisher. "The Department will continue to hold public officials accountable for corrupt acts such as the bribery schemes outlined in today's indictment."
"The schemes charged are complex, but the essence of this case is simple: Mr. Jefferson corruptly traded on his good office, and on the Congress where he served as a Member of the United States House of Representatives, to enrich himself and his family through a pervasive pattern of fraud, bribery and corruption that spanned many years and two continents," said U.S. Attorney Rosenberg.
"The FBI has made combating public corruption its top criminal investigative priority because American citizens deserve honest and ethical public officials representing their interest," said Assistant Director Kenneth W. Kaiser, FBI Criminal Investigative Division. "As it is alleged, Congressman Jefferson violated the public's trust and used his official position and office as a RICO enterprise to corruptly solicit bribes, to pay off a foreign official, and to illegally benefit from overseas business transactions during a five-year period. The FBI will continue to work with our local, state, federal and international partners to combat public corruption across all levels of government as no corrupt public servant is exempt from FBI scrutiny."
The indictment alleges that Jefferson knowingly conspired with Vernon L. Jackson, a Louisville, Ky., businessman, and Brett M. Pfeffer, a former Jefferson congressional staff member, and others as part of the bribery and corruption scheme. Jefferson allegedly discussed and solicited bribes in return for being influenced in the performance of certain official acts, including receiving things of value from iGate, Jackson's company. According to the indictment, Jefferson also corruptly sought bribes from an individual identified in the indictment as a Cooperating Witness (CW) to be paid to family members. The indictment alleges, for example, that Jefferson required 5 percent to 7 percent of the CW's newly formed Nigerian company be given to members of Jefferson's family in exchange for his assistance. Jefferson allegedly made the request of the CW in December 2004 during a meeting in a congressional dining room.
The indictment further alleges that Jefferson violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by allegedly offering, promising and making payments to a foreign official to advance the various business endeavors in which he and his family had financial interest. Jefferson was allegedly responsible for negotiating, offering and delivering payments of bribes to the official identified in the indictment as "Nigerian Official A."
According to the indictment, on or about July 18, 2005, Jefferson met with Nigerian Official A at the official's residence in Potomac, Md., and offered Official A a bribe to induce him to use his position to assist in obtaining commitments from NITEL, the government-controlled main telecommunications service provider in Nigeria. On or before Aug. 3, 2005, at his residence in Washington, D.C., Jefferson allegedly secreted in his freezer $90,000 of the $100,000 in cash provided by the CW as part of the front-end bribe payment to Nigerian Official A. The cash was separated into $10,000 increments, wrapped in aluminum foil, and concealed inside various frozen food containers.
Jefferson faces a maximum of 235 years in prison if convicted on all counts. Jackson was sentenced to 87 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit bribery and the payment of bribes to a public official. Pfeffer was sentenced to 96 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit bribery and aiding and abetting the solicitation of bribes by a member of Congress.
The case is being prosecuted by Mark D. Lytle and Rebeca H. Bellows, Assistant U.S. Attorneys, Eastern District of Virginia and Trial Attorney Charles E. Duross of the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
Criminal indictments are only charges and not evidence of guilt. A defendant is presumed to be innocent until and unless proven guilty.

If I get blown up, it will only be my imagination. After all, how could I know anything? That is why I give you the links to the people are so much brighter than me. Please read them. They are too scary for me. After all, I'm just a girl.
Psssst: That there is what we here call, "Sarcasm" for those of you do not get it.
Update: Michelle Malkin has written a rather impressive article, as usual, about the capture of three of the four jihadis (or terrorists, whichever you prefer). The entire criminal complaint ("Courtesy of Robert Nardoza at the United States Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of New York) is posted over at Hot Air (same link as above. Just scroll down for the PDF link.) Criminal complaint? What in the world do you have to do be called a terrorist and go straight to Gitmo?
Here is the DOJ's press report (PDF). Ah, now let us see just how long it will take for the dinosaur media and the politicians to blame this Bush...and the timing. And on and on we go.
Will anyone ever realize we are at war not by choice but because they are trying to kill us?

We had Dr. Jerome Corsi of WorldNetDaily and StopSPP.com on our show this morning to discuss some VERY vital issues, including the NASCO super highway.
Here is what we discussed:
Dr. Corsi touches on countless key issues that lamestream media journalists wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole.
You can listen to Rick Roberts' interview by clicking here.
Sadly, these issues are not conspiracy theories. They are what we face as a nation if we don’t fight.
Dr. Jerome Corsi received a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Political Science in 1972. He has written many books including “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry” (along with John O’Neill), “Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil” (along with Craig R. Smith), “Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians,” “Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America’s Borders,” and most recently, “The Late Great U.S.A.: The Coming Merger With Canada and Mexico.” He is also an expert on political violence and terrorism. In 1981, he received a Top Secret clearance from the Agency for International Development, where he assisted in providing anti-terrorism/hostage survival training to embassy personnel.
