Rosemary, Miss Birdleds and Alabama, Bobg. Thank you this idea came from another Blogger, Old Sgt's Outpost. He is calling on all bloggers to fly the flag. Rick Roberts in San Diego, 760 KFMB has been burning up the airwaves over Oceancity Dept of Education's directives.

At first I thought I was caught in a time-warp - "June 30, 2006"

I guess I watched too many Star Trek episodes.

Love the flag and poem!

Only way to keep it on top of the posts. Several of the bloggers are posting the flag on top. Old Sargent, from Old Sgt's Outpost came up with the idea and put out a call to all bloggers.

I have to keep putting the publish date way out there in advance to honor our flag.

Respectfully,
Bosun

Hello, Bosum.

Thanks for leaving that comment in my site (I expect that when you said that you were impressed it was on the good sense ;) ).

Well, I'm going to blog about your comment one of these days, if you do not mind. I do not think that the situation is the same in US and in Europe. The case of Hirsi Ali is very clear in that respect.

Anyway, I agree with you that we must respect other cultures -they must respect ours us well- BUT there are times in which people are not in the center-middle of things but wuite in the extreme. That is wrong, but I think we are in on eof these times.

Regards.

Eeh, what I wanted to say in:

not in the center-middle of things but wuite in the extreme

is simply that when things are going wrong people normally tend to stay in the more distant places (or communists or fascists) even if they are very much the same in the lack of freedom and of common sense. And in Europe it's happening that now: the extreme parties (far-left or far-right) are just growing and that is really worrying.

I hope I have explained myself well now.

The Anti-Jihad Pundit, your comment came in clear. I understood what you are saying. It appears to me that extremes are going to tear apart all the countries of the world.

Liberal tolerance and political correctness, dubbes as the "liberal way" are neither liberal nor tolerant. Just try to be heard at a liberal event, liberal college, or in a liberal mix and one will figure out that they will not allow opposing views.

The more one bends or appeases, the more that is expected. I am very interested in your views of EU.

Bos'un

I have always thought that EU is a bad idea.

This is the first time I've heard anybody bang on the EU. I have been railing against it since minute one. It was a knee jerk reaction to the fear that the US/India/China troika was going to leave them in the ash-heap of the economic wasteland. Youre right Pub,....Unions or confederation of nations need points of reference, of constance, of inteweaving commonalities,... the only thing Europeans agree on are entitlements.

Marisol,

I am not sure where you are actually from. Yes, we are living in difficult times, indeed. However, I believe that freedom and liberty does exist. It is elusive, difficult to understand and sometimes it is confused with the evil it is fighting against.

Unfortunately evil will always try to extinguish the flame of freedom. The real oppressors are the fascists who are trying to wrestle control away to install their own pain, suffering, and totalitarian governments.

Sometimes we do not realize who are friends are and what side good or evil is on.

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy,
generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Thank you for your comments. I will post you the link to the radio station. Reminds me of good old SoCal way back.

Wish that Wolfman Jack was still around. God Bless the United States of America and the days when Right was right and Wrong was wrong. Our new wave generation is confused and our morals, values, and ethics have been compromised.

Peace,
Bosun
