Happy Veteran's Day Nov. 11, 2005

I wish to thank all who have served, and those who stayed at home waiting for their loved ones to return, for serving our country. By doing this, you have made me prouder, safer, and more optimistic about the future.

Do I believe there will never be another attack in the USA? No, I do not believe that. I do believe you are doing the best you can, with your hands tied behind your back, to make sure that it does become a reality. I thank you for this.

For all the people for all the wars, I thank you, also. We have lived in the USA free from invasions for many centuries. This is because those who were brave enough to do the fighting, which some refuse to acknowledge as necessary, did indeed do their duty for America.

To all the wives and children (husbands, too), I thank you for your patience and sacrifices. May your time apart bring you closer. God bless you.

I have found at least two writings today which I would like to share with you. Blackfive's Friday Freefly- Veterans Day Vent and Mudville Gazette's Valour-IT and Happy Veteran's Day.

Please take the time to visit these sites, then go to your closest VA or VHF and offer your help, thanks, and/or welcome home. Thank you.

Very nice. As a thirty year military veteran, I know all the vets really appreciate the recognition. The unsung heros of a military home are the wives and husbands who take care of the homefront when the military are deployed. This day is for the vets and thier families. God Bless our country and those who keep it free.
