"Running as an independent, as you well know, was not my first choice," Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., proclaimed recently. "I honestly now look at it as a kind of . . . a blessing."
The blessing is apparently showing in the latest polls. Because it appears that Sen. Joe Lieberman is surging in the polls, thanks to tremendous GOP support and Joe's reputation, morals, values, and ethics. All of the liberals and donk lefti who tried to throw Joe under a bus because of his support on the war on terror did not sleep well last night.
Now, from what I understand, Joe is going to remain an independent democrat and will undoubtedly continue to vote with his heart and his beliefs. The great thing about Joe is that he has always been a man of integrity and conviction. He votes for what he believes is in the best interest of the country and does not allow partisan politics stand in the way. I have not always agreed with Joe's position on legislation, but, I admire his as a man of his word and a dedicated public servant.
