Map obtained from CIA Fact Book, North Korea
There is an article by Melanie Kirkpatrick in the WSJ's Opinion Journal Friday titled "The New Underground Railroad." The subtitle is 'A North Korean like you is easier to kill than a chicken.'
It is a riveting interview with these two women. There were six people altoghter who were given asylum status, and they arrived on USA soil May 8, 2006. They are the first to arrive since 2004. This is when the USA had signed the 'North Korean Human Rights Act.' I highly recommend this reading this article. Have a great day.
I have also written an article prior to this titled "First Group of N.Korean Refugees Arrived in U.S." This will give you a little background should you like some.

Thanks, Rosemary. That is a great story. I added three more links. Chosun Journal has a lot of good information about PRNK.
