U.N. hears of mass Darfur killings

It has been several years now, and finally the UN has decided to at least hear about the genocide in Darfur.
    UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- The U.N.-backed court probing war crimes in Darfur has documented thousands of civilian deaths, hundreds of alleged rapes and a "significant number" of massacres that killed hundreds of people at once, the top prosecutor said Wednesday. [continue reading]
I am not going to get my hopes up, because China, Russia, and France all have their eyes and hands on the oil in Sudan. They know if they vote against that government, he will pull their contracts and tear them up.

Ya see, they don't any rules to play by. Not like we do. With Somalia going to the jihadists and genocide in Sudan, I wonder how long the UN will stand as an ineffectual institution...
